Learn How to Maximize Social Media and Sell

Social media content creation and marketing

Social media is the all-day everyday port of call in the 21st century. Everyone is there, EVERYONE. As a small business owner, you know that opportunities are everywhere. Well, 60% of those opportunities are on social media.
By now, you know about our other courses: The ongoing Graphic Design course and the previous Content Writing course. At this point, don’t you just love us? Both courses are amazing and end with us achieving our goal: providing young Nigerians with access to sellable digital skills. If you weren’t a part of either course, don’t worry because we are definitely bringing them back.

However, we have a new course in the works, starting on October 5th called the SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATION COURSE for small business owners and social media managers. Goosebumps, right? Let’s talk about this course.

Social media is the hub of online marketing today. In the world, email marketing is the most effective digital marketing channel. However, in Nigeria, social media is number one, and this course is for business owners and social media managers in Nigeria.

You can’t have a business and not talk about it or have it on social media. Everyone knows this, but what everyone may not know, especially small businesses who are struggling to gain visibility and customers on social media is that there is a skill to selling on social media, you can’t just freestyle it. The skill for selling effectively on social media is what we’re going to help you acquire and improve in this course.

You can trust that we know what we’re talking about here. You see, we were once a small business too. Well, technically, we still are. Words on Us is no Nike, but, we are big enough to comfortably tell you that to get to where we are; to gain clients around the world and position ourselves as Africa’s First Content Development Agency, we had to get smart about social media marketing.

Here’s the thing about social media, it’s open to everyone, and you just have to find your own audience in that crowd.

Here are some of the complaints small business owners usually have about social media;
– They’re not getting any likes on their sales posts. No like, no comments, or 5 likes after 3 months. Sad.
– They also complain about not having their audience react the way they want them to react to their posts. They just say “this is beautiful,” and then keep going. No shares, and no sales.
– Some of them have 6000 followers, but only 3 are customers. So, they’re spending a lot of time on social media, but it’s not reflecting in their account books.
– Finally, some of them have had their pages open for 2 years, but their only followers are their parents. That sucks.

All of these problems have to do with content and the way is used. An audience is just like you or me. They react to what they like and what they value, so to get them to respond to your business even if it’s for a product that they are not yet interested in, you have to create content that includes what they like. That’s essentially what this course will do; it will provide you with the knowledge and the tools to get your customers right where you want them. That is, in your DM, asking for your payment details.

The best thing about advertising on social media is that it is free. Sure, you can do the occasional sponsored ad now and then, but even a sponsored ad without the right content will not bring the right engagement. Your business has the limitless opportunity to grow as much as you want it to, you just have to support a great business with great content.

You are probably thinking “social media or not, I’m still going to sell, and my business will grow.” But, we live in the 21st century, and this is an era where online shopping and marketing is more normal than going to the supermarket. This is a time where people are used to the ease of having their goods marketed to them and delivered to them instead of their having to go out to get them.

Without social media, you will make sales, but with social media, you will make a lot of sales. Who goes for some, when you can get a lot? Nobody.
If at this time you want your business to grow and beat the competition, then you cannot do it without social media. Most businesses hire social media managers and content creators to manage their businesses. This gives you time to focus on the art of business, and on developing your products. This course will ensure that you know how to train a social media manager if you want to hire one, and if you want to do it yourself, everything you have is here. if you’re a social media manager, you can learn in this course how to manage several pages at once, and give them 100%. With this course, you can do so much more for your clients.

In this course, you will learn:
– How to present your business better.
– How to create your designs and ads.
– How to take cool pictures of your products.
– How to turn your followers into buyers.
